THIS MONTH .
June is such an exciting and promising month as the natural world moves into top gear.
There is so much happening with plants and trees in flower, and animals in full swing rearing their young and at last a bit of good weather to cheer us all up after a long winter and cold spring.
This month we are going to focus on a wonderful small tree and shrub, our native Hawthorn. we have made a video to highlight its many benefits, A wonderful small tree or shrub tree to enhance any garden or green space.
Flowering normally throughout may and into June, with the cold Spring this year flowering was delayed and it is now in full flower and looking fantastic.
Additional Point of Interest: Not mentioned in the video is the fact that you can buy these, or order them through your local garden center in the winter and get them bare root. As in delivered without soil around the roots as during the winter they are in a state of dormancy. They are cheaper in this state and may be more readily available.
